In collaboration with MindSpark’21, the club organized Predict-X 2021, a stellar data sciences hackathon. This hackathon was conducted online and was led by Jinit Sanghvi and Siddhant Kandge, who are the research lead and administrative lead respectively.
DSAI Club organized a groundbreaking competition that showcased the intersection of data science and
healthcare – the Covid Cough Prediction Challenge. Led by the adept guidance of Abijeet Deshmukh, this
competition tasked club members with leveraging their data science skills to predict COVID-19 cases through
audio analysis of patients' coughs. Participants delved into the intricacies of signal processing and
machine learning, utilizing audio clips as a unique diagnostic dataset. Abijeet Deshmukh's leadership not
only enriched the competition but also provided valuable insights into the practical applications of data
science in healthcare. The event underscored the club's commitment to exploring innovative solutions to
real-world challenges, reinforcing the importance of data-driven approaches in the context of the ongoing
global health crisis.
